Collecter les fonds!

Written by

Vendredi, sept mars

My school has been generous enough to hold a gold-coin mufti day to raise funds for my trip to France. I couldn’t be more appreciative that they’ve helped me out in this way, and of course I intend to share back the generosity with the knowledge/information that I gain from my experience as a Young Ambassador.

As well as holding a mufti day, I put on a bake sale. Friends from my French and History classes helped put a bunch of baking together for us to sell to other students.

When we arrived, the line was already super long- an awesome thing to see!

A couple of my friends helped me out on the stall, and I really did need their help with all the girls coming to buy our baking.

And of course, Mrs Hill and Mrs Riepl were close at hand to oversee how well we were doing!

We actually sold out pretty quickly, and I managed to make a good wee profit towards my trip funds!

Friday was a busy day for me, as last period Mrs Hill, my Dad, and I held a meeting to discuss fundraising and other aspects of Shared Histories. I have managed to secure a page of adverts in the Otago Daily Times, and an article to run with them. The journalist from the ODT is coming early next week to interview myself and Mrs Hill, and so everything is full steam ahead on my front!
