My Inquiry

Written by

My Inquiry Question:

What significant aspects of life have changed for teenagers living in France and New Zealand today, in comparison to how teenager’s lived in France and New Zealand one hundred years ago?

Why I have chosen it?

(For my Young Ambassadors Personal Project I have chosen to compare and contrast life for teenagers in France and New Zealand now, with life for teenagers in France and New Zealand during the war. I’ve chosen to investigate this, as I am interested in finding out how much life has changed for teenagers in today’s society, compared with life for teenagers one hundred years ago).

How am I going to tackle it?

I am going to find links to life for a young French student in 2014, life for a young New Zealand student in 1914 and life for a young French student in 1914. I will then use the information I find to make comparisons and contrasts between the lives of these 3 people, with my own life living in Southland in 2014.

In order to find a link to someone in my own community who has knowledge of what life was like in Southland during the war, I have spoken to numerous teachers and students, as well as advertising for information in our school newsletter and a local newspaper.
